Both statements are correct. Translators are specialists for choosing the proper words for any context.
In the end, correct translation is a matter of trust.
My career as a literary translator startet at university with a students' project and went on in the 1990s with several fiction titles. Since 1999, I have translated more and more non-fiction titles with a medical and/or psychological background, including some copywriting projects on health and nutrition.
